Early picture of the 9th Mississippi regiment, taken in 1861 at Pensacola.9th Mississippi was at Franklin.Two known-identified 9th MS boys who fought at Franklin are buried at McGavock. The 9th MS also fought with the 7th, 10th, 41st and 44th MS Infantries, and the 9th Mississippi Sharpshooters Battalion.
